Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Manager/Hotel Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Front Desk Manager/Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our boutique 20-room hotel and to involve in upcoming renovations to share ideas. As the Front Desk Manager, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and exceptional experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Provide a warm, welcoming, and efficient check-in and check-out process for all guests.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering personalized service and anticipating needs.
- Operations Management:
- Supervise staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee daily front desk operations to ensure smooth functioning, including reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and handling special requests.
- Manage room assignments and ensure that all rooms are prepared and ready for guests.
- Administrative Duties:
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including processing payments and reconciling the daily cash drawer.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and transactions.
- Prepare and review reports related to occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.
- Submitting GST invoices to clients and companies.
- Communication:
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with guests and staff to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Problem Resolution:
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy and a solution-oriented approach.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to enhance guest satisfaction and resolve issues.
- Marketing and Sales:
- Promote hotel services and upsell rooms and amenities to enhance guest experiences and increase revenue.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain guests, guided by upper management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with hotel management software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel operations or a similar role.
