Job Description: Safety Officer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop preventive measures.
- Provide safety training and conduct toolbox meetings for employees.
- Maintain records of incidents and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external agencies (e.g., fire departments) for emergency preparedness.
- Participate in safety committees and initiatives to improve safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits and environmental hygiene inspections.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IMS standards, and legal documentation (Factory Act/Rules).
- Inspect fire-fighting facilities, equipment, and safety tools regularly.
- Issue safety violation notices and ensure employee safety education.
- Conduct mock drills and weekly safety training sessions.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensure workplace hygiene, and handle internal/external audits.
Key Skills: Safety policy development, incident investigation, training, auditing, compliance, & risk management.
